Poem: Seasoned Love

The Poem: Seasoned Love

When the ocean swallows the sun

And light surrenders to darkness

When stillness conquers motion

And sound succumbs to silence

When numbness defeats the senses

And the earth becomes insentient

When winds seize to blow

And rivers forget to flow

When death belittles life

And summer turns to fall

Still love will remain

When the mountains lift the sun

And morning takes its first breath

When colors begin to shine

And dewdrops form upon roses

When birds chose to sing

And butterflies learn to dance

When birth becomes the norm

And play is taken for granted

When the frozen heart defrosts

And winter turns to spring

Still love will remain
